Mad Hatter Tea Party - Part I

The Decorations
This party was so BIG that I have had to split my posts into two: the Decorations and the tablescape. The event was set in our backyard and on the deck. Approximately 30 guests were in attendance. We had party goers enter the yard 'through the rabbit hole' - a large play tunnel - I'm sad to say I forgot to get a picture but it was very cute! Here are the deats on our Fabulous UnBirthday Party:
I made this Toad Stool using an old stool and paper mache, you can find the tutorial here. Most of the guests under 3 feet tall sat on it for photos.
The forest of mushrooms...
I used a variety of silk tropical plants as my backdrop (could you tell that they aren't real?)
Ceramic mushrooms in brass containers - I loved this look!
Party favours for children - I made the boxes then filled them with white rabbits and chocolates.
Party favours for adults - hand made sour cream containers with candy inside. They read "open me".
Love these silk flowers - Iris's and daffodils were a must have for a Mad Hatter Tea!
Tissue paper pom poms - provided colour and ambiance.
A teacup full of pansies on a cake tin. PERFECT!
This little guy reminded me of the Dodo bird from Alice in Wonderland.
More party pics to come.... don't go too far away!

Precious party decor. I wish that I were 3' tall, so I could sit on that toadstool for a pic. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
