That's right, friends. I finally made Toddler Beds for the boys!
My inspiration was from Gabrielle at Design Mom who shared her
fabulous tutorial for upholstered toddler beds.
We {the hubs and I} made three significant changes to the tutorial:
1. We changed the size and dimensions to fit out pre-existing crib mattresses
2. We created corner braces for extra support
3. We made the beds taller to suit our growing boys
For our complete tutorial please visit She Wears Flowers on April 20th.
I absolutely love how these turned out! And seriously one of the easiest projects that Darcy and I have done together ~ two beds took us a weekend of evenings and nap times. Much better than the great laminate floor debacle of 2004.
Of course I had to create custom pillows for the boys' beds.
Isaiah seems to like them.
I knew that I could incorporate ruffles into our house full of boys somehow. Snigger.
They look like seaweed underwater right? {just say yes}
Tutorial coming soon!
My sister in law bought this bedding {from Homesense} for the boys before they were even out of the same crib. She started it!
Cameron doesn't pull any punches when asked "what's your favorite part?"
