Turkey Bacon Grilled Chicken

Monday, June 4, 2012

Oh my gosh you guys!!!
This is the best grilled chicken ever!
Rave reviews.
From everyone.
Even the littles.

Here are the goods:
8 chicken breasts {each cut into three strips}
1 tbsp dried chili
1 tbsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 pkg turkey bacon {about 200 g}
1/2 cup brown sugar

Cut the chicken and sprinkle with dried seasoning.
Be sure to mix and coat the chicken well.
Here's the bacon we used {turkey bacon} but you could use any kind.  {In fact this chicken was inspired by this recipe from Diary of a Recipe Addict who uses real bacon} We haven't had real bacon in ages ~ this turkey bacon is a healthy alternative.  It doesn't shrink like real bacon so I cut each piece in half lengthwise before wrapping it around the chicken.
Roll each piece of chicken in the brown sugar.
Place them on the grill or barbecue {medium heat} for 15 - 20 minutes {flipping half way}.
And there you have the most delicious, moist, grilled chicken....
Oh man, I need to make more!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for "To Market, To Market" and a recipe for the amazing grilled vegetables shown above.
