I found something to make with all of the mint in my garden!
Mojitos!!!
Cousins officially introduced us to this refreshing rum drink this summer ~ now it's an instant favorite. Yum!
The goods:
10 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
2 Tbsp white sugar
Ice cubes
1 1/2 oz white rum
1/2 cup club soda
Place mint and lime into a cup and use a muddler {or whatever utensil you can find} to crush them and release the juice. Add sugar. Fill the glass with ice, add rum and top with club soda. can be made with simple syrup instead of sugar.
Raspberry and mango versions are pretty awesome too!
I hope that you are having a fun filled summer!!!

Love Mojitos!
ReplyDeleteIt's the primary reason I grow mint - which I often call the "Mojito plant".
I use Agave Syrup in my Mojitos - cuts a few calories and has a lower glycemic impact than sugar.
Cheers!
