I have slowly been revamping the boys old pirate ship room.
The boys have moved into a new room and this room is going to be our new guest room.
It's actually a pretty special place. Darcy and I are foster parents and often have little people of various sizes and genders staying with us.
I want this room to be warm and welcoming for anyone who may be staying with us. So I am trying to stick with a gender neutral colour scheme and decor. I can't wait to show you the whole shebang!
But first I added a pop of colour to this little lampshade by adding a whole bunch of bright, yellow buttons!
I gathered up every yellow button that I could find and plugged in the hot glue gun.
After watching a few episodes of pvr'd Masterchef, I had covered the lampshade in bright bursts of yellow.
Our completed little lamp.
I am loving how it's turned out so far. Just a few more little knick, knacks and a giant world map and it'll be time for the full reveal.
Thanks for visiting!
