A Succulent Wreath for Fall

I love, love, love fall!  The changing colours, the cooler weather, the pumpkin spice lattes… and the first thing that I like to do to celebrate the changing of the season is hang a new wreath on my front door.  This Succulent Wreath is perfect for fall and provides a fresh, classic pop of colour to my entryway.  It’s also simple to make and create your own.  Let me show you how…

How adorable is the little woodland owl peeking through the foliage?!

I love using a variety of succulent shapes and textures while pairing them with muted pops of colour.

The hints of yellow, orange and gold are perfect for fall.

Supplies:

14″ grapevine wreath

Selection of succulents

Pumpkin, leaf and owl accents

Hot glue gun and glue

Wire or string for hanging

Scissors

All of the supplies can be purchased at Michaels.  Be sure to have a variety of succulent shapes, sizes, colours and textures on hand.  Lay out your design by placing the succulents where you want them on the wreath.  Cut off any long stems as needed.  You may need wire cutters or heavy duty scissors for this.  Once you have the plants where you want them, use the hot glue gun to stick them into place.  Add fall accent pieces where desired and glue them into place as well.  Tie a string for hanging to the top of the wreath.

Pro Tip: keep your eyes open for wreath making supplies at your local thrift and dollar stores.  Buying new craft supplies can get expensive but reusing old or inexpensive ones is a brilliant way to get a lot of bang for your buck.  I found this wreath form at the thrift store and many of the succulents at the dollar store.

Would you put a succulent wreath on your front door?  Have any tips or inspiration?  Please share!

I love succulents of all shapes and sizes, live and faux. Your wreath is gorgeous and as much as I love succulents, the little owl pick is just too adorable! If you get a chance, if would be great if you could share this post with us at Creatively Crafty (https://lifebeyondthekitchen.com/creatively-crafty-link-party-135/) In the meantime I’ve pinned this and plan to share it with my daughter who loves to make wreaths, too.
