There are three big events that we love to celebrate with friends each year.  Halloween, Christmas and New Year’s Eve!  Our friends Amy and Mike host a Halloween Party, we take care of Christmas {be sure to check out our Elf Party on Instagram} and Anita and Rob cover New Year’s.
We ring in the new year at an epic house party where even the kids are invited!  This family friendly party is wicked because not only do we get to hang with friends and play board games {Settlers of Catan anyone?} into the wee hours but we don’t have to worry about trying to find a babysitter on New Year’s Eve {a near impossibility right?!}  Our kids are all around the same age and have an awesome time playing together until they all crash in little puppy piles all over the house.

No party is complete without a few amazing appetizers.  This Four Ingredient Baked Spinach Dip is a new favorite of ours.  It is super simple and easy to make and only needs FOUR ingredients!  Be sure to pin this one for later.

I had the opportunity to swing by Superstore to pick up all of our ingredients.  With the boys in kindergarten, grocery shopping is so much more relaxing now because I am no longer having to drag them through the aisles with me.  I can actually take my time and create meals on the fly.  It’s all kinds of awesome!!

Most of the ingredients that you need can be found in the dairy section of the store.  I like to use this Kraft Tex Mex Cheese because it is already perfectly seasoned and gives the recipe a bit of a kick.

Ingredients:
250 g pkg Philadelphia Cream Cheese {room temperature}
2 cups Tex Mex Shredded Cheese {reserve 1/2 cup}
100 g Chopped Frozen Spinach {defrosted}
1 cup Sour Cream
1 tsp minced garlic {optional}

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  In a medium mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients well.  Tip: squeeze most of the water out of the spinach before adding it to the cheese.

Scoop the mixture into a small, oven safe casserole dish.  Top with the reserved shredded cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Serve hot out of the oven with Tostitos Scoops tortilla chips.

This Four Ingredient Baked Spinach Dip has been a huge hit at our holiday parties!
By the end of the night the bowl is always totally, completely empty.

    Hello. I love this recipe and have cooked it a few times. Have you ever tried this in a Crockpot? I want to make for a event but I am scared I might mess it up. Lol. Like I might overcook or not cook enough.

    Since our stores sell in packages and not g it would be helpful if recipes give us amounts in what we can buy. As in: 1- 8oz pkg cream cheese, or one 16oz pkg frozen spinach, etc. Recipe is listing part g and part in Cup and tsp.
