I have another quick tutorial for you!
It’s all part of our
One For The Boys ~ Holiday Edition
series of posts.
Like, all the time!
So why not make them some soft swords to spar with?
Better than using wii remotes or plastic dollar store light sabres I say!
These would be great for a pirate/star wars birthday party too.
Make one for each party guest and give them out as party favors!
Step 1. Cut out your fabric. The sword body is 21″ x 7.5″ and the hilt 7.5″ x 7.5″. Now personalize the sword with some freezer paper stencilled lettering. I used my cricut to cut out “engarde” and “touche”. Iron the freezer paper onto the sword body.
Step 2. Use fabric paint to color in the stencil.
Here are my swords all painted.
Step 5. Sew the sides of the sword together. Sew a curve at the end of the sword and cut off excess fabric.
