Pesto Gnocchi

Hi.  I have a confession. 
The whole time I was typing this post I was sharing with you my recipe for Nocki {or No Key}.
Ha.  Good thing I took a picture of the main ingredient hey?
So here it is:

Pesto Gnocchi
{sounds like No Key ~ spelled that way by dorks like me}
The goods:
One diced onion
One can of diced tomatoes
1/2 jar of pesto
1 pkg of Gnocchi
A bunch of fresh, sliced mushrooms

With the heat on medium, begin by sauteing the onion in a frying pan until opaque.  Add diced tomatoes.

Add pesto.  Stir occasionally to incorporate ingredients. 
Add boiled and drained No Key {see?}.
As an after thought throw in some fresh mushrooms.
If you come to eat at out house it’s a requirement that you like fungi.
You could make this into a main dish by adding hot italian sausage {genius right?} or diced chicken {yum}.  But alas the three year olds requested chicken strips.
Here’s the kiddos meal ~ I tried to convince them that the asparagus was a yummy green sword.
They didn’t buy it.
The adults more reserved platter.

    Yummy! My kids will not even think about touching asparagus. Ohh and I had to copy and paste asparagus… otherwise the spell checker would have laughed at my spelling of it 😉
