Recently a friend of mine asked if I could make something for her daughter.
She had saved her daughter’s keepsake blanket from when she was a little girl.
I was so honoured to be trusted with this project.
And I think that this Chevron Infinity Scarf turned out fabulous!
I began by cutting a section of the fabric into a long strip about 6 inches by 8 feet. The blanket was well loved and faded so I thought that it needed a pop of pattern and colour.
I used a template that I cut out of card stock for the chevron print.
Then I painted the pattern onto the fabric using acrylic paint mixed with a fabric paint medium.
I chose grey and teal blue colours. I love the way they contrast each other.
The brushstrokes give it a unique, hand crafted look.
I hope that she likes it!
